Homes in the right location
If Sydney is to deliver the homes it needs, they should be built where they can be genuinely supported — in highly accessible, well serviced places with existing transport, jobs, shops and services. Carrington Road, a short walk from Hills Showground Metro Station is exactly that kind of location. Building A delivers more homes and greater housing choice, together with affordable housing, an improved and publicly accessible public domain, and ground floor retail including childcare for the wider community.
Community and Activation
The development will create a sense of community through design that encourages social interaction and provides access to nature and abundant green spaces. The vision for the Carrington Place project is for the essence of Cattai Creek's natural geometry to be it to intertwined into the Urban Village.
Retail, food and beverage activation, and a childcare centre, will serve both residents and the wider community. Active street frontages along Carrington Road and Ashford Avenue will provide a welcoming public domain, while north-facing communal gathering spaces bring people together.

A design responding to an evolving precinct
Castle Hill, Showground and Norwest are continuing to evolve, with greater height and housing density planned around major transport infrastructure. The proposed Building A responds to this changing context and its prominent location opposite Hills Showground Metro Station. The proposal will also provide landscaping and public-domain connections toward Cattai Creek.
About Carrington Place
The master plan for Carrington Place, located on Carrington Place and Ashford Avenue was approved by The Hills Shire Council in 2023. The first stage, Atrium, began construction in mid 2024 and is expected to be completed in the coming months. Building A is its final building.
Carrington Place is envisioned as a multi-staged urban village with a strong connection to nature, prioritizing lifestyle, sustainability, and community.
What this means for the Castle Hill community
The proposal will help address Sydney’s housing shortage by delivering more homes, including affordable housing, in a well-connected location close to existing public transport. It will also provide benefits beyond Carrington Place, including new childcare, shops and services, improved pedestrian connections and a regenerated green corridor toward Cattai Creek. Together, these improvements will support a more walkable, convenient and vibrant precinct for the wider Castle Hill community.
